Programs/Courses at Rudolf Steiner College

Rudolf Steiner College offers full-time Teacher Education Program at its main campus and part-time program in San Francisco. The Foundation Studies Program offers a one-year full-time immersion in anthroposophical studies and the arts, which serves as the first year of the full-time Waldorf Teacher Education Program.

The College also offers a Summer Waldorf High School Teacher Education Program, a part-time Remedial Program, a part-time Subject Teacher's Program and several Waldorf Early Childhood Training options.

Other Programs

  • Consciousness Studies: a twelve-week intensive program in personal development
  • Eurythmy: a four-year training in a movement art initiated by Rudolf Steiner
  • LifeWays Childcare Provider Training: a one-year part-time training that meets for three intensive sessions and fulfills the 12-credit requirement for the State of California license for a childcare provider working in a private setting

The College also has a variety of other educational opportunities, including:

  • Biodynamic agriculture: a one-year apprenticeship in a form of organic farming based on Steiner’s work
  • Outdoor classroom: Farm visits for Waldorf school groups
  • Weekend and evening classes in eurythmy, biodynamic agriculture, painting, parenting skills, astrosophy (the wisdom of the stars), esoteric Christianity, nutrition, world religions, and other topics
  • Summer courses on Waldorf education, anthroposophy, and the arts
  • Summer Institute on Waldorf Methods Applied to the Public School Classrooom
  • Summer Professional Development Course for Teachers of At-Risk Youth
